Wine your way through South Jersey and visit more than 15 wineries with a plethora of options for wine lovers and connoisseurs.
What makes wine so special? The first sniff and swirl to every glass of wine has depth and unique flavors. The aroma and shade of each glass of wine leaves your imagination and taste buds wandering.
We took a winery tour to a few “group friendly” wineries and found different characteristics at each venue.
First stop: Sharrott’s Winery, located in Hammonton and nestled among a stunning vineyard and horse farm is a 45-minute drive from AC and hosts visitors from near and far. Sit back and enjoy your favorite glass of wine, along with a cheese board or sample a variety of wines. Due to be completed in the near future, the winery is adding a tasting room that will seat up to 80, two bars and unique seating configurations. This new space will boast glass garage doors opening up to a beautiful patio and overlooking the endless vineyard vines. Fun fact: Sharrott wines has won nine medals at this year’s Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.
Second stop: White Horse Winery, which is also located in Hammonton and owned by Brock Vinton. Vinton’s family vision was to create a premier winery destination and that is what White Horse offers today. The venue has tastings available for small and large groups and the winery is known for its delicious Old World dry wines.
Additional wineries to visit throughout South Jersey: Bellview Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery, Cape May Winery & Vineyard, Valenzano Winery, Willow Creek Winery, Renault Winery, Plagido’s Winery and Tomasello Winery.
